- There are three daily departures from Reykjavik to the Fagradalsfjall Volcano Parking P1 or P2.
- Each departure has a corresponding return departure time from the volcano parking lot.
- If you choose the 8:00 a.m. departure, your return departure will be at 5:00 p.m.
- For the 11:00 a.m. departure, your return departure will be at 8:00 p.m.
- And if you opt for the 2:00 p.m. departure, your return departure will be at 11:00 p.m.
- Once you arrive at the volcano parking lot at 9:45 a.m., you can commence your approximately 19-kilometer round trip hike to the Litli-Hrútur Eruption Site 2023.
- The hike usually takes around 5-6 hours, so it is crucial to manage your time effectively to avoid missing your return departure.

- The hike to the lava is about 10KM each way over uneven terrain.
