Visit the lush farmland cutting between mountains and glaciers. Tour includes Seljalandsfoss and Diamond beach
On this tour, you will travel along Iceland's South Coast on the narrow strip of lush farmland that cuts between mountains, glaciers, and the vast Atlantic Ocean. The journey includes stops at natural treasures including the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls , views of Skaftafell National Park, Diamond beach and Vatnajökull glacier to name but a few.
Passing the southern edge of the mighty Vatnajökull Glacier roughly midway between Reykjavik and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon offers magnificent views of glaciers, rivers and endless plains of sand. Vatnajökull Glacier National Park stretches over an area of 14,000 square km, or roughly 10 times the size of London.
Packed with icebergs in various shades of white and blue, the extraordinary scenery at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is sure to take your breath away. Various bird species can be seen feeding in and around the lagoon and seals are a fairly common sight both at the mouth of the lagoon and at the seaside beach.

Очень понравился гид, интересная и своевременная информация. Очень насыщенный маршрут. Хотелось бы, чтобы wifi в автобусе все-таки работал.
Perfect timing, organisation, cleanliness, control, peaceful driving... Beyond my expectations. Flawless.
I bought South coast and glacier trip. I was very well organized schedule, although it was quite too short time in Skógafoss waterfall. Generally, it was a good choice for non-driving people.
Gray Line Iceland team thinks about clients ! Good organizacion :)
Competitive price but no compromise in the quality of service. Pick up worked well, coach comfortable and well equipped. Dagmar, our guide, was knowledgeable, informative and filled the silence with interesting facts about everyday life as well as the geological and historical references. Dagmar improvised parts of the itinerary to suit the weather and local conditions which worked well - the iceberg lagoon was an inspired choice, serene and beautiful and leaving the Seljalandfoss until last an excellent idea as we could get thoroughly drenched (and you will not avoid it, trust me) without worrying about another 12 hours in wet trousers! Siki the driver also played his part in navigating a 52 seater through gravel and sand car parks and keeping us on the road in rain and very low cloud. highly recommended
easy to book trips online.
Easy to book + pay
Muy puntuales. Autobús muy cómodo.
we had a wonderful time on our tour with gray line. the tour guide was the best. very informative and accommodating. highly recommended.
Friendly staffs open 24/7 as all other companies. Cleared my doubts on call.
Overall the trip was fantastic! We saw soooo much and even with the tour being 14hrs along, the drive still made time for a couple extra, spontaneous stops.
Guide is so friendly and kind, provided clear information and talked about each town history along the way.
Άριστη οργάνωση, έφεραν σε πέρας το πρόγραμμα με πολύ άσχημο καιρό, άριστοι επαγγελματίες, φιλικοί, αγαπούν πραγματικά αυτό που κάνουν.
Online booking was easy
The tour was very well organised, it was a long day but we managed to see main attractions in Southcoast including 2 waterfalls, the Glacier lagoon and Black sand beach, with the stop at Vik for lunch and dinner. The sightseeing was amazing, Iceland is an incredible country and I'm very fortunate to have been to the most beautiful places. The tour guide is very nice, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. She is always there for us. She did work hard to ensure everything is smooth and on time. The tour guide is chatty, which is a good thing, however, she could keep her tone lower a little bit while chatting with the driver when people are resting.
It would have been better to stop at both planned waterfall going to Glacier Lagoon. The 2nd one was visited coming back to Reykjavik in dark. The waterfall was lighted but it was not really enjoyable. Glacier Lagoon was very nice, but unfortunately windy weather.
I booked two tours with Greyline, one to the South Coast and the other to the Snaefellsnes peninsula. I was picked up on time for both and we got to see everything on the tour program. Our driver on the first tour, Roland was a super star. He drove us through snowy and difficult conditions with great care. Tanja, the South Coast guide was very nice. She took care of everybody. She talked the whole way, which was a bit tiring at times, but surely informative and entertaining. The Penninsula tour was wonderful. Our driver/guide Elly was not very talkative, but that was OK. She let us soak in the landscapes and had some funny stories to tell now and then. As a tip, I would say she could do more to ensure our comfort. For example, she made us walk unnecessarily to go into a convenience store in the pouring rain, while she could have just dropped us off at the entrance and parked the car. Still, she made the tour authentic and drove us home safely and on time. On the whole, a very good experience!
Simple and easy to book online
Immer pünktlich, sehr freundlich, kompetent. Einfach sehr zu empfehlen.
So firstly I do recommend the south coast and glacier lagoon tour, HOWEVER I do not recommend grayline as a provider. I was really disappointed in the experience of this tour. There are two famous waterfalls advertised as part of the itinerary, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. We stopped at Skógafoss on our way to the lagoon and I specifically asked our guide ELIAS about Seljalandsfoss (this is a waterfall that you can actually walk behind so it was on my to-do list) ELIAS explained we would see the waterfall on our way back. So I asked what time and whether it would still be light, he said 'no problem about 19:00' We arrived at Seljalandsfoss at 20:20 in COMPLETE DARKNESS. Obviously because of the lighting conditions we were not able to walk behind the waterfall and we could barely see it properly! I was really disappointed as this was something I really wanted to do as part of the tour. Everything you see on this tour is really beautiful but don't book with grayline! We had SO MANY stops along the way and the stops were for SO LONG! A lot of us felt on the tour the driver took priority over paying customers! We'd arrive at a destination and ELIAS would umm and ahh and then decide when for us to arrive back to the coach to leave. There was no real set timing! I think grayline need to update how this tour is advertised on here as it is very misleading! I have complained since coming back and received a 10% refund but its not really anything if you think about how expensive this trip is! This day really put a downer on our Iceland holiday so definitely look at other providers if you wish to go on this tour.
Amazing, Tanja was the Best Guide!!
Ottimo servizio, autista preparato, gentile e simpatico.
Easy to book online and payment was taken in euro not local currency. Super
south coast & glacier lagoon We picked a beautiful day for this, the sun really helped us out as you can get rather wet from the waterfalls if you want to. The trip is 14 hours but if you aren’t wanting to see the diamond beach or aren’t bothered about the glacier I would advice doing the alternative 8/10 hour south coast tours. We stopped off first at skogar, then we went to where the famous stacks are in the sea had a short time to go on the black sand. Then it was off to the glacier, this is honestly astounding if you’re even only slightly wanting to go here do it! I think this is a must see in Iceland personally even more so now because it’s melting 10m off each year! Diamond beach was after this then a stop in vik and on the way home we stopped at Skógafoss. It was a great day, the only fault I have is that we were told we had an English guide and he could speak English but not clearly and it made it very painful to listen out for him. We messed up on the return times to the coach because we couldn’t understand him very well. Because it’s such a long day I think they should take this into more consideration because you already have to concentrate on staying awake but don’t get me wrong the sights alone are enough to keep you awake you don’t exactly need the guide. Definitely worth the money!!!! Would do again.
Good tour guide and safe driver
Great quality of service, for good money. Very clear pick-up system
旅が14時間にも及ぶ長時間で少し疲れました。ただしツアーガイドの話が面白く退屈はしませんでした。いろいろな景色が見れてとても良かったです。I got tired a bit because my trip was as long as 14 hours. However, the tour guide's story was interesting and boring. It was very nice to see various sceneries.
We have booked both trips with Gray Line and everything from pick up and drop off was really 5 star. The guides are very knowledgable and very friendly and informative and we have enjoyed very much our trips. Customer service is at very high level, buses are comfortable and safety very important. I would definitely use this service again and would recommend it to all my friends that are visiting Iceland. Thank you.
Bearing in mind it was a 14h tour it was disappointing that there was no usb sockets to charge cameras and phones, other shorter tours I have undertaken with you, the coach had this facility.
Very easy process to book
The tour is very long but it is definitely worth it to see this magnificent spectacle! Lorenzo was fab as was the driver - there was a snowstorm on the return over a mountain pass which was hairy but they had it all under control.
You should make the tour leave a couple hours earlier. There is not nearly enough time to get to everything. We missed the second waterfall, which was very upsetting as I paid to see it. The tour guide was terrible. Very boring, laid back, showed no care at all. This tour is a joke, and I will never use grayline again accept for airport transfers.
Easy booking bus on time.
Pick up was seamless and we had an excellent driver and tour. Very informative and beautiful sights.
The guide was chatting more with the driver rather that doing the guide job. Bus was comfortable but usb charging points were broken, toilet was broken and wifi worked only a little time on the way back. The main sight the glazier lagoon was fab. The tour only shows stops for 2 waterfalls and the glazier lagoon so it really should be called glazier lagoon tour.
Well organized trip. Informative guide. It is dark when we get to the last waterfall, so could not view it clearly.
I would recommend them and deffenetly use them again and again. 5*
I would repeat the experience with Gray Line. 100% reccomendable.
Straight forward booking & excellent well organised trip with great tour guide
online booking easy and straightforward. no hassles.
Used grayline for 3 different tours. Tours themselves were great. One of the tour guide was awesome, but the other two were okayish.
We booked an airport return transfer and South Coast Glacier Tour. Both were very well organised. I have to say a particular thanks to the driver Oly and guide Roman for the South Coast Glacier Tour on Thursday 31st January 2019, they made a 14/15 hour trip very enjoyable. Being a nervous passenger, I did not once feel unsafe in the capable hands of these 2! Both very friendly and knowledgeable. A credit to your company! Many Thanks, would not think twice about rebooking with Grayline.
We did extreme Iceland, arctic adventures and Gray line tours and gray line was by far our favorite! There was ample room so my friend and I were able to get a whole row each to sit, with extreme Iceland, since it’s icelands most popular tour company, we were SO squished and claustrophobic it was SO uncomfortable. The driver for gray line Made us feel so safe in winter driving conditions and the guide was so friendly! Loved gray line 100% recommend over any other tour company
It was easy.
Perfect tour guide and good coverage in some of the most beautiful parts of Iceland ...
It was a great experience! I recommend it with all my heart! I felt really safe with the driver and very well informed with our guide.
this was an excellent tour, the info you get as your almost at the stop is really helpful. the guides are helpful and always available if you have any questions. a must to believe
I like how much accomplished in itinerary set forth though found somewhat inflexible with spending 5m less at a rest stop or designated site when all agreed in order to stop for an incredible photo opportunity en route.
Straightforward and easy online booking.
This was really simple and quick to complete. The only suggestion I would have is to include Diamond beach in the description of the tour as it was something we were very keen to see and it wasn't obvious whether or not it was included until we read the reviews.
It was not a cheap tour, but it was totally worth it! The tour lasted more than 14 hours and we travelled far away from Reykjavik. As I travelled during the winter, we only had daylight for 4 hours. Our tour guide and driver were very efficient at planning the itinerary and the timing so we could enjoy most of the places before it got dark. Our final destination, the Diamond Beach, was just incredible! 5 stars to our tour guide, her name is Tanja and she is fantastic! She had a lot of information about everything and she was very cool! I asked her some extra things and she alwayd had an answer. She gave me great advice on where to take good pictures in Reykjavic, cheap and good places to eat, and some cultural curiosities.
Wonderful trip! :)
Nice tour and good service
Since the tour was during winter, it should have been mentioned that it would be night time by the time we arrived in Seljalandsfoss, and that in winter, one cannot walk behind the falls. In the end, the 10-hr ride was really just seeing the glacier lagoon, and even then, the sun had set by then. I do understand that there are only about 4 hrs of daylight in winter.
Booking was seamless and smooth. Would love it if could pay in CHF.
It was easy to book but I would have preferred to make one booking for 9 people. The promo code didn't work when I made the bookings but I was sent a refund separately.
The tour was not completed because of car accident happened that morning and the way to the lagoon was blocked. But the company was really responsible and we get a full refund of the tour.
Booked online, tour was cut short due to a road accident and company has not reached out to us to let us know how they will handle the refund. I called and emailed. Still have not heard back. Horrible customer service.
It was fast and easy.
We booked an English tour and got Chinese guided tour. Chinese were also booking English tour. It was very uncomfortable sitting with audio guide and trying to understand when he wants to say anything. Too little time for two waterfall, just 15 minutes for skogafoss and 45 min for strange stop and Vik store. I would better spend that time at Skogafoss
Best company out of the ones i used definiteky eould recommend
Easy booking process
Our tour guide was amazing!!! Very informative and had a great sense of humor. She made the tour. My mom and I learned so much about the country and culture. We saw some breathtaking sights and the "14 hour" tour length was a bit intimidating when we first booked the tour but the frequent stops for food and toilets in between the destination stops made it perfectly planned. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland.
Simple to book and very responsive team.
這次因為暴風雪的影響而取消Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and South Coast，覺得很可惜沒有看到冰河湖跟鑽石沙灘，不過有中文導遊這點很好，希望能夠增加更多中文的行程！
Description of tour very detailed and helped me make the right decision in selecting which tour to book. Website is easy to use and navigate.
I was the best tour so far!! The places were incredible beautiful, and our guide was really nice. We had a lovey day and experience!
I took the tour late November and the bus driver Simon was amazing. Really the greatest driver I have ever seen. When a 14 hour trip goes smoothly because of him. A great person, great driver and have a great sense of humor.
I took the 14 hr south tour in Iceland... it was just amazing
the tour guides were awesome and super helpful which I appreciate
Very good tour however an unecessary stop at the start, could’ve saved 30min to make the day shorter. Pick up was also late. Tour guide and driver was friendly. Tour guide could have been a bit more informative but not a fault. even stopped for us to see the northern lights. Overall, gray line is a great company to book tours with, very reliable and quick customer service responses
Our local guide Dagmar was simply the best on this Grayline tour of the Glacial Lagoon and South Coast. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about not only the sights we stopped to see, but offered wonderful advice on folklore, local customs, tips on aurora lights watching, and cuisine. It truly gave some insight in what Icelanders want visitors to experience and know about their beautiful country. While the tour itself was a very long day (with two stops for lunch and dinner in the town of Vik), Dagmar's anecdotal stories made the return drive to/back Reykjavic quite interesting. Our driver, Roland, was the best navigator for our coach bus, taking us expertly and safely through strong gusting winds, winding roads, and even brought us down to Diamond beach to give us a few precious moments to capture some snapshots after our amphibian boat tour returned late. I had spent a while week based in Reykjavic doing day excursions with multiple companies, however this Grayline tour in particular was a standout. I would highly recommend them and use again when traveling back to Iceland.
Easy, no fuss
Simple straight forward booking process.
As a repeat customer of Grey Line, I am always satisfied with the service. They are efficient, friendly and the logistics are streamlined. The guide of our tour was very friendly and was always giving insight into the country and the culture
Easy to book with plenty of information
Easy booking process
Tour guide was knowledgeable of all the areas we went through, he loved telling stories, or old wise tales, about the area and trolls. The glacier lagoon was well worth the all day trip to go see.
Very easy to book online. My daughter is 17 so Grayline offers the best value tours as she is not considered an adult price.
Magnifique excursion ! Nous avons passé une journée inoubliable.. je recommande vivement. La guide était très professionnelle et sympathique.
The tour spent too much time on the bus and had only a few sightseeing stops :( But the glacier was really nice! :)
Very well coordinated, great tour guide.
Grayline online booking is great! The description of the tours is clear and accurate. The booking process is easy and efficient. The tours we took are all wonderful.
We had a great time on our tours. Such a great way to explore Iceland - and the tour guides were very knowable!
Thank you for excelent trip☺
Easy booking online.
Good tour guide for this tour! She helped me catch up northern lights of another company!
booking was very simple and efficient
The guide and the driver was very nice and high standard. I was happy with the overall tour . I recommended to improve the internet connection on some bus.
tourist guide not explaining well
The guide is knowledgeable and professional.
A 14 hour tour just to enjoy for 1 hour the glaciers and icebergs. But it was well worth it since that is what I wanted to see. The long ride was a bit tiring but the view from the window is just always stunning along the south coast, one will hardly bored.
We had a great experience!
picked up exaktly at time
Had a bad experience. Guide wasn't very friendly and time spent at each place was too short. An itinerary listing the time allowed in one place should have been mentioned.
Everything ran to time and as advertised on line, very impressed. Couriers on both the glacier lagoon and golden circle were interesting and knowledgeable. Both had lots of folklore stories and history of Iceland with a sense of humour along the way! Only comment would be the 10 minute comfort stops perhaps not required as plenty of other comfort stops on both journies and personally would have preferred extra time at the beautiful sites visited.
We had a wonderful day away, with impressive landscapes and lot of useful and interesting information. Our guide Tanja was a lovely company. A long trip, but it definitely worth!
They were kind and experts. I was 5 minutes late for pickup for the trip. I called them and they sent a pick up bus shortly. I was moved by their service.
Our tour guide was very good, but rather long. She gave us a lot of interesting Iceland history on the long drive to the glacier. Very helpful.
Incorrect charges, refund not received yet.
Gray Line makes it very easy to reserve and purchase tours. We find that the buses are always clean and drivers experienced. It seems that there is a great variety in the skill and information provided by the tour guides. Some tour guides provide very little, some passable, and some are very good. The guide that we had for this tour was adequate but less than informative from the ones that we had when last we visited. My husband and I have found that the female tour guides provide much more information about the locations, cultures, history, and some of the myths of the areas. This tour of the lagoon was an exceptional tour based on providing wonderful stops to locations that had not been visited on other tours we had taken.
Very organised and efficient
I booked 2 tours with Grayline online, but missed the bus on the first day. Grayline was very helpful about just flip flopping the 2 trips I'd purchased. They were very helpful!
Fast and easy online booking.
The glacier lagoon’s sight is worth the long ride. But the tour guide is disappointed. She hardly told any informative stories about glacier, black beach, diamond beach,... Driver of the bus was punctual at all stops.
Lovely drivers, good wifi on board, always clean!
Onlime booking worked well although some details such as departure time and duration of tour weren’t clear
Comfortable buses very punctual tour guides very knowledgeable I would definitely use them again
On Line booking is great, I even called a us phone number
Great co-operation, perfect service!
J'ai trouvé le service impeccable. Les sites visités spectaculaires. Merci
Easy website to navigate and any random questions were responded to very quickly by chat or email.
O.k. nur etwas mehr Zeit an den Stops - insbesondere an dem Gletschersee wäre schön. Vielleicht der langen Strecke geschuldet.
Online booking - pickup and transfer - comfortable tour bus - informative and entertaining guide - perfect sunshine day - all made for an excellent experience. Thank you!
The package was well organized from start to finish. Excellent.
We took two tours, the first was good but despite multiple guests complaining, the heat on the bus remained on high and people felt sick. The second tour promised the black sand beach, which was pointed to and recommended that we go back to see.
Easy to book and good communication via email when our Bus Stop was closed due to building work in Reykjavik. Plenty of stops en route. Easy pick up and brilliant trip apart from a mix up over the boat trip at Jokulsarlon when two people who hadn't paid got on and wouldn't admit it. We volunteered to get off to let a family with children go on together and our guide worked very hard to sort out for us to go on another boat. This was sorted and we had an amazing time on the water. Thanks to our guide as it really wasn't his fault just very annoying passengers!
Easy and quick to book
Wow, icebergs, glaciers, waterfalls, black sand beaches. You would have to go to at least 4 US states for comparable sights.
Pickups were always on time and even early. The guides were friendly and well informed.
A great trip with a fantastic tour guide
It was a very worthwhile experience. Our tour guide Dee Dee did a great job telling us everything about Iceland. We truly enjoyed the long day!
We did 3 seperate tours all very interesting and the guides gave excellent and amusing commentary
I prefer minibus. But the guide gave us very good explanations in a good french as well than in english all day long.
Everything was good. Picking up in time, safe driving and informative and interesting explanations of our guide.
Gray Line is extremely well run organization. We used them for several tours and found them to be courteous, consistent and efficient. We highly recommend their services.
We have a great time with Jacob and Isaac on our first travel to the parliament fields and the National Park. But on these second travel to the south we’ve experience a bad behavior by the guide, I don’t even remember her name, but she was very rude and humiliated one of the tourists in front of everybody. She seemed to be very lazy about the tour, she have no empathy and no patience at all. I think she will never imagine that someone will stop to wrote these, but I think it is very important because the tours are very expensive and no one deserves to go trough these. we met incredible places, but I would rather have done without this guide. One again, I would like to say that the other experience with Jacob was amazing.
The guide talked way too much nonsens
Great people. Great service. Called to confirm. No problem. Called to change, no problem.
Maybe the rating was weather related. We stopped by 2 waterfalls but the stops were too brief. By the time we walked near the waterfall, took a picture, came back it was almost time to leave. There was not enough time to even walked up the hill to look at the waterfall from another angle. Due to the heavy rain and strong wind, majority of the group were not able to take the boat tour onto the glacier lagoon. We paid money to be able to see the icebergs up close, once in a lifetime opportunity as we were told, and we ended up finding shelter in the tourist hut! We thought rain coat would be provided for such weather and maybe for practical reason, the boat had no shelter either. Those of us that went on the boat , we nearly froze to dead in the strong wind and rain. The only consolation was the scenery along the way was quite beautiful and unique.
It was simple. However, prices were different when booked from different places. This should not be like that. Prices are already extremely high so you should not advertise even higher.
Longer times should be assigned for the visit to the 2 falls, the day I went I got 20 min for the first fall and 25 for the 2nd fall, where were no enough time.
Easy to book
Nice tour, enjoyable and will recommend to others
Must see ! Simon was our tour guide and was fabulous! One of the highlights of our tour was the glacier lagoon with boat ride . We had so much fun the sights are beautiful! Long day but well worth it when you have a guide so knowledgeable you get lost in the time . Itcssx my daughters bday so we absolutely had a blast . We literally saw pretty much everything you wanna see on south easy side .
Ottimo servizio! Si lo consiglierei assolutamente!
“Deedee” has forever changed my idea of tour guides!! She was soooo amazing!! Everything she said was clear, funny, relevant, engaging and informative! Even though the tour was long on paper, time flew by so fast!! She was full of information but never was boring or monotone. Had laminated relevant photos sites we saw. I need Deedee on every tour I take in the future ever!! Thanks for showing me Iceland!
It was a good tour, but the guide good have been a little clearer, spoken a bit louder (not the easiest to understand) and talked a little more. I liked the places we went.
booking was easy very straight forward
We went to Iceland for three days and this tour is one of the best ways to see the natural beauty of this country.
We had a great guide,Tanya, who was excellent in not only explaining the sights, but also discussed some of the history of Iceland. We had very, very bad weather coming back. Tanya was a superb driver. I highly recommend her.
Very good service, all the tour guides amazing and the buses and vans are excellent.
The South tour was all I expected from it. It is a long trip but worth it completely. We maybe should have had a bit more time for lunch and dinner.
It was very nice tour. We had fantastic tour guide DiDi. Lots of information and funny stories. Thank very much.
I did 2 tours. The Golden circle express is Very poor. Very bad. The one by the south of the iceland was great.
The scenery was beautiful! Although the bus ride was long, our guide Tania regaled us with folktales, information about the geology, and history. My only complaint has to do with the comfort of the minivan. Because we were the last to be picked up, we had to sit in the back seat which was very uncomfortable, especially for those of us with back problems. The noise from the back sometimes made it difficult to hear what Tania was saying.
I booked through British Airways which was simple and efficient. Everything went to plan.
Easy interface to use, straightforward payment system. There are several different options for each tour type, so customization is easy to fit interests and budget. Everything is well-organized and professional, without any real hiccups on the trip. A great experience all around.
Good service, reasonable prices.
Buses were always on time, the drivers were friendly and the tour guides were excellent
The tour was nice and the driver made various rest room / food breaks. However the bus was very cold due to the air conditioner being on. It was 40 degrees outside so I’m not sure why they will turn the a/c on. The other driver (that picked me up from the hotel) had a very nasty attitude. He came early and didn’t wait so I missed him. I called Greyline and they sent him back. He was angry, told me that I was late and ordered me to “just get on the bus”. I told him that he was very unprofessional and that I was going to inform his manager. He replied “so what”. The treatment I received was unacceptable and made me uncomfortable. I was relieved that he wasn’t the actual tour driver!
Very easy to book
I was using Grey Line for third time and I have to say that is always great.
My online booking experience was wonderful. I easily booked from my phone. The trip was amazing!
Booking online with GrayLine was quick and easy. The service provided was also good. Our tour guide was informative and the buses were prompt.
Puntualità dei servizi e guide estremamente professionali. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Fortemente consigliato.
It was easy. Lots of pics and tours to choose from.
Beautiful trip. One of the best tour in Iceland.Must see places.Great scenary along the way.Couple of stops at waterfalls , cliffs , glacier.Highly recommended.Only thing could be better that first stops on waterfalls should be on the way to glacier.Later on was too dark to do some good photos.Last stop on the way to Reykjavik.I would change only that.Overall I like it very much.Beautiful views.
So easy to book online. Quick pick up and, for a large bus group, the tour was run so well. The driver and guide were very professional and did well keeping us safe and informed. Excellent tour!
It was an excellent tour with a very nice driver and guide. A long day trip but not boring because our guide told us everything we need to know about Iceland. I wish I had more time to explore south coast. Everyone should go to south coast and Jokulsarlon when in Iceland.
Easy to book, affordable price
We couldn't make our trip and had to cancel. The staff were so incredibly helpful and understanding. We got a full refund. Great company!
I booked transfer 1 month before going to Iceland, paid directly. 1) So when i got into the bus from airport to Reykjavik, Gray line sent me an email, that they charged me 2 times (1 month ago and right now). When i came to the office in city center, they said, don't worry, if we charged you twice, just write us an email and we will transfer back. So far i am checking my bank account every day, when it is gonna happen. 2) I booked transfer for both ways, i came to the bus like it was written in the booking at 2:30 am and i was not in the list. How come? Why you don't have database, where you can see all bookings, cancelled, prepaid and so on. I would say it is a big problem with logistics in Iceland in general. 3) Transfer from Blue lagoon: You see your bus, come in, bus driver asks your bus stop in Reykjavik and write it down on paper and you already sit in the bus and waiting for departure. But suddenly they optimized their route and decided to split people into 2 buses. Question: why they don't use bookings from database, where it is written who, how many people, which bus stop/ hotel and so on. In general, bus drivers were very kind and nice!
Online booking is easy and straightforward
It was a long 14 hour day tour due to the long distance between the glacier and the capital. It was well-structured and unavoidably came with tight schedule. You could not afford spending too much time in each site, and the journey between sites could often mean 2 hours of drive. I joined two tours from Gray Line during my time in Iceland, and I found the experience was very dependent on the tour guide. In another tour I joined (Golden circle classic), the tour guide was very informative and interesting, which made the entire experience great. This one, however, was boring, and with very little description. I couldn't even know if he was speaking English!
Customer service shoukd contact client regarding the location and pick up time of the tour. The instructions in the voucher is not very clear
The booking is easy and accurate.
On time pickup, clean bus in very good condition. Great driver and guide. And yes, for the NL tour, you have up to two years to keep going till you get to see them. Where in the world do you have such a favourable term? Very competitive rates!
Très bonne expérience, bien encadrées et guidées lors des arrêts. Légers problèmes de compréhensions avec le guide et son anglais
It was a very long tour. We saw all the mentioned places. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact, that we got to Seljalandsfoss waterfall in the dark. They put some lights there, but to shoot pisc - it is not possible. Our guide was nice und gave us plenty of time on all of the places.
The tour guy was really annoying.
the 2 tour guides we have experienced in the 2 days with Grayline were having very strong accent, so it was hard to understand what they said about the tourist attractions. And, i tried to ask a question regarding the earth plates to the tour guide as she mentioned about it and I couldn't understand in the golden circle. She replied, "You Asian people always think that you can stand on the two plates but that's not possible." -- it is not relating to what I am asking at all and it is not something I would do and it sounds racist. Please improve the overall quality of your tour guide so they are "professional" as you said on the webstie.
The whole itinerary was well arranged. Guide was knowledgeable n explained tales of Iceland wholly. Wonderful trip.
A fantastic day trip to the southern shore. Picked up on time. Coach of very high standard. Good tour guide who pitched commentary just right, very informative. Clear direction given at all stops. Plenty of stops for comfort breaks and attractions. On our return home our tour guide pointed out the northern lights and an unscheduled short stop was made for a very grateful coach load of people to experience that wonderful phenomenon. I would highly recommend this tour and trip.
Děkuji za výbornou organizaci výletů. V případě zrušení, společnost je v kontaktu a obratem zašle peníze zpět.
Amazing trip we got to see northern lights as well
I loved how comfortable the bus was and how convenient travel was. The tour guide was great!
too many stops with no purpose (food, after daylight etc). very little time to enjoy the beauty of iceland. lots of timepressure. most of the time just in de car and driving by at beautiful sceneries and just getting a glimpse of it.
We booked the trip before arriving in Iceland - website was easy to use, and choice of hotel pick ups was extensive
Trip was cancelled due to weather. Hopefully there will be a refund soon
About an hour into tour the bus pulls into gas station for us to get snacks ect I’m guessing only to be told we couldn’t bring them on to bus or drink coffee due to Greyline policy! Next we went to waterfall and told only have 20 min so can’t walk stair to top of fall due to time restraints. Stopped at a gas station again for lunch- no seats and many other buses/tours stop there as well. Stopped at another gas station icewear/ cafeteria style place for dinner- driver told us no other restaurant in Vik. Im guessing they get a kick back from that place- would have preferred eating at a local establishment! The tour guide continually complained about the long day- well maybe if you didn’t stop at so many gas station it would have been so long
Easy to book online, perfect service when the activity came about. Good customer service, helpful with answering queries.
Booking was super quick & easy. Then, on the day of the tour, the trip was cancelled due to bad weather. Rescheduling the tour to the next day was very easy and effectively done with just a quick phone call! Your booking executives are top notch! Sadly, I can't say the same about your guide. He was incredibly boring and his speaking style lulled us to sleep on the long journey. Eventually, I felt he was giving more attention to his French guests than us. Quite a disappointment!
The tour although long was very informative & took you around some amazing scenery & the guide had some really good points
Buenos guias y explicación de los sitios visitados.
Our guide for South cost trip was great but i thing general planning may be impove. It is understandable that day light is wery short during winter time-it was January we visited- but instead of stopping 1 hour for lunch or 30min for break in day light it could be 15min x2 short breaks and it could be offered cold sandwiches on board so could be saved 1 hour. It is given 45min for a waterfall break where there are I don’t know how many stairs you have to climb and 30 min for a break in a coffee. We didn’t experience anything bad with our guide who was actualy nice lady and probably that’s why i still think it was worth the price. The nature itself is amazing. Nothing to say or complain about this.
Very nice trip with great guides
Cheap price, nice places, funny guide
Absolutely wonderful trip! Repeatedly, natives and hostel staff told me a lengthy one day trip to Jökusarlon wasn't worth it or too exhausting. It was the opposite, this trip was for a bargain price. You get a driver and a chance to explore whenever that bus stops, which is at the most essential times. When they stop for lunch, walk across the street, or eat lunch quick and go trek up to see the view. It takes 15 minutes. The view of that mountain is worth it.
I had troubles making an order through smartphone but on a notebook, everything went well. The tour itself was great, but it was a bit upsetting to get to Vik and Seljalansfoss in the dark (though, what you can do, it's winter).
The trip was easy to book online with everything displayed clearly
导游非常棒，讲解的非常好。 Greyline的服务很到位，车开得非常稳。 希望以后加强在中文网站的宣传，给予来冰岛的中国游客更多的选择。
Alles hat super geklappt.
Very good tour...guide provided interesting facts throughout the trip whilst passing areas of interest. One suggestion would be to request the lunch venue to provide some seating for those that wish to picnic during lunch.
great and responsibly company! nice route design and professiinal tour guide!
The trip was cancelled in the middle of the way because of an accident and the road was blocked. Even though they covered the half of the tour we got full refund for the tour. Great customer service
I appreciated that our driver found a place away from all of the other tour buses out looking at the Northern Lights. It made watching them so much more amazing. And our guide was extremely polite and helpful.
Great service and professional driver. It was a very long day and it's too bad we went to the last waterfall in the dark due to winter hours. However, the Jokulsarlon glaciers was our favorite part of Iceland! Thank you Grayline!
It was easy to follow and had all the information needed
Efficient and booking info is clear. will recommend to others.
Really great tour. The Chinese tour guide is amazing and we learnt a lot of things about Iceland and the attraction.
Great drivers, great knowledgable guides who truly know and appreciate all their country has to offer, great schedule, and of course amazing sites!
Easy and fast online booking.
Everything was awesome. Great service and very knowledgeable tour guides. Thank you!
I could successfully pay with my credit card which the billing address is not in Europe.
I was pleased with the time and effort they put into answering my questions about tours. They managed to offer me the best options to fit my tide budget so I could fully enjoy the experience.
poor arrangemen. bringing us to see waterfall in the dark....
The guide spoke endlessly and at the end asked for a tip.
Easy to book a tour and call centre staff were helpful.
The booking system is very user friendly. The agents were very helpful.
Everything was good
Such a beautifully organised company, everything ran smoothly and the tour guides where super friendly, they made the trips even more personal by sharing their stories.
Super service et très bon guide. J'ai adoré.
Great tours and tour guides! I definitely recommend them!
I booked 2 packages day tour in Iceland. 1.south coast and Jökulsárlón with 14 hrs. First of all your staffs are so great tour guide, he has a lot of information about Iceland and really helpful. The driver, he is lovely guy and so entertaining with his voice. Every stop points followed by schedule. No missing places. 2.golden circle express 6 hrs. It’s ok.
Very easy online booking.
I booked and paid for the South Coast and Glacier Lagoon Tour, the Landmannalauger Pearl of the Highlands Tour and the Golden Circle Delicious Tour many months prior to the dates of these tours. I received a receipt for these payments and a link to print out vouchers for these tours. It was only by chance that I discovered that the tours for which I had paid were no longer available on the days for which I held the vouchers. Nobody from Gray Line Iceland contacted me about this although they had sold me the tickets . Had I not discovered it for myself I would have missed both the Glacier Lagoon and the Pearl of the Highlands Tour. Fortunately I was able to reschedule after I contacted Gray Line Iceland but as I had only a very limited time in Iceland to have missed both of these tours would have been a disaster and made my visit to Iceland a complete waste.
A very long tour so you will be stopping in places only for a few minutes. However, you get to see almost everything in south of Iceland in one day.
A great commentary from Day, our guide. Excellent way to cover a lot of ground in a limited time. Coach comfortable. I was worried the 14 hours would be hard going but the pace of the tour was just right. Very satisfied.
good bus on time good guide great attractions
Easy to use; would have liked more information sent to me upon purchase.
The tour was very nice. We were able to see a lot in once. I would have preferred more time visiting the waterfalls instead of eating at a restuarant in a very random gas station or small town. Also, more time around the glaciers since that is one of the main reasons for the tour.
One of the best tours I've ever been on. The guide was knowledgeable, fun, and made sure we enjoyed the day.
Ônibus confortável, com wi-fi, e pick-up pontual. O tour foi excelente!
We used your services on two tours and airport pick up and transfer. Each time , polite well spoken operators greeted us . Would recommend and use again
Everything was straightforward and positive. The tour went exactly as expected, and I enjoyed the tour guides and transportation services to/from my hostel. As a solo traveler on a budget, Gray Line made it easy for me to get to where I need to go, and learn a lot about the history of Iceland!
Wonderful scenery, good stops. The glacier lagoon was breathtaking. Longer time at the waterfalls would have been better. The stop at Skaftafell was a bit unnecessary as no time to really walk around. Guide, Elias, was very friendly but his English pronunciation was a bit difficult for some of the non-English speakers.
Experienced driver and tour guide.
The tour guide, Jakob, was brilliant! He was very considerate and gave informative tour to us. We enjoyed the small group tour (4 people)!
Easy and fast! Wish website description was more detailed with which/where this tour stopped.
Muito bom. Correspondeu com as expectativas! Recomendo
I could easily select the trip I intended and the booking went smoothly.
the tour guide was both professional and informative
It was fast and easy to book online with this company. I met them at the terminal for departure since I was staying in a private residence (AirBnB). On the way home, they went out of their way to find a nearby hotel so that I would only have to walk a very short distance (a couple hundred feet at best). Thank you for making this a special trip!
The tour guide was very knowledgable and gave us lots of information about Iceland.
Very easy, and even after I'd stupidly booked a tour for a wrong day, I emailed them and they responded within the day and fixed my mistake.
It could have been a lovely tour, if it hadn't been for the guide, Christina. It seemed she didn't want to be there and it is a long excursion to share with such a person. Too serious looking, speaking more to the driver than to us (which sometimes looked as if they were arguing); random comments, which did not follow a logic sense, and repetitive. And I felt that she was not knowledgeable enough or she didn't want to talk much. However, I must stand out the driver's attitude throughout the day and the bad weather conditions. Always with a smile and continued the journey in spite of several people advicing him not to. Great driver!!! (Unfortunately, I don't remember his name) The stops were good and we were given enough time to walk around.
I give all the information online and they still send me a email saying they need my location so I need to email them again
This trip is a LONG day, but we'll worth it. There is so much to see in the South shore, glacier region. Our driver was great, even made two unscheduled stops on the way home for us to view and photo the Northern lights.
Cramped seats for over 12 hours. False advertising about duration. Horrible uncomfortable experience. And Gray Line's response to cramped seats was: we provide standard seats. No.their large buses have standard seats. The small coach seats were totrure!!!
Very good experience!
Excellent, professional and informative - struck the right balance between providing information and leaving us to do what we wanted. Would recommend this tour to anyone going to Iceland
