Fly Over Iceland is an experience that is not to be missed. It’s a ride and a spectacular visual show combined into one amazing experience. Visitors, and even those who call Iceland home, want to go on this unique exploration of this wondrous island. With its great location, situated along the historic harbor in Reykjavík's popular Grandi Harbour District, it is easy to take a few minutes to walk from downtown to arrive at your flight.

Before the main show

Before heading on your flight a two-part pre-ride show will serve as an introduction. A show that explores the roles of nature, time, and humankind on the ancient island of Iceland, while featuring volcanoes, glaciers, trolls, and more.

Icelandic Nature at Its Best

Fly Over Iceland takes you from massive glaciers to majestic fjords, rugged ravines, and beyond. What makes this experience so special is that you not only get to see the most iconic places in Iceland, you get to see them from a completely new perspective. Along with the most well-known sights, you also get to see some of the more remote and difficult to access locations in Iceland. From volcanic eruptions and powerful waterfalls to steep bird cliffs and the dizzying heights of mountain peaks, Fly Over Iceland is your ticket to it all. 

Rain or Shine

Icelandic weather is notoriously unpredictable which can make planning outdoor excursions a challenge. Because Fly Over Iceland is a completely indoor experience, you never have to worry about the weather. Outside it may be snowing, raining, sleeting or even all three at the same time but inside the Fly Over Iceland theater you’ll still get to experience awe-inspiring sights, sounds and scents of Iceland. This is definitely one of the "what to do in Reykjavik" things.

High-Tech Family Fun

How does this immersive experience work? Full motion seats are elevated to allow your feet to dangle. A 20-meter wide wrap-around screen fills your field of view to ensure you feel completely surrounded by the Icelandic landscape. Special effects provide wind, mists and even scents to complete the virtual journey, all backed by a lavish musical score.
