Tour Itinerary

The Blue Lagoon Private Tour whisks you away to the Blue Lagoon, where you can relax and soak in the soothing, milky blue waters with healing powers and enjoy the surrounding lunar landscape.

It is not so long time ago when Blue Lagoon became one of the 25 wonders of the world and so people from all over the world can enjoy this unique place. The Blue Lagoon is fed by geothermal seawater from deep under the lava, the warm waters of the Blue Lagoon are rich in silica, algae, and minerals that soften and rejuvenate the skin, and it was proved that the water has a healing effect for psoriasis. In the past, doctors also used to prescribe patients to go to this blue milky water, known as Blue Lagoon today.

Today, the Blue Lagoon is not only about bathing. You can enjoy many great SPA treatments there, go to the restaurant or stay at one of the two hotels there. Everything you need for the relax of your mind & soul is available just in one place, so don't miss your chance to explore it.

During our Blue Lagoon Private Tour, different types of admissions are available. You can choose the right one for you, and spend your day to the fullest.

The Blue Lagoon is situated southwest of Iceland, close to town Gríndavík, on the way from Reykjavik to Keflavik or the opposite. The Blue Lagoon is around 50 kilometers from Reykjavik.

2. From what age people can go for the Blue Lagoon Private Tour?

You can enter the Blue Lagoon with a baby that is 2 years old. To go the Blue Lagoon waters is not recommended for babies younger age because of all minerals in the water. For the kids until their 8 years, the floaties are a must to wear, but no worries, if you don't own any, floaties for free are available for rent just at the entrance to the Blue Lagoon.

3. Can pregnant women go for the Blue Lagoon Private Tour?

This depends on women itself. We do not say to don't go, but for some pregnant women, warm waters might be very unpleasant and harmful, while for others not. Please, talk to your health care provider before you decide.

4. What if the weather is bad, will be our Blue Lagoon Private Tour canceled?

Weather in Iceland changes very often, especially in the wintertime. If the weather is really bad, the tour will be canceled to keep you safe, and also, if the weather in Iceland is really bad, most of the roads are closed, so there is no chance to get to the Blue Lagoon. But you might just move your Blue Lagoon Private Tour for another day, or we will always return you your money back if asked.

5. What do we need to take for the Blue Lagoon Private Tour?

You need a swimsuit, towel, and cosmetics for yourself after the Blue Lagoon visit. But if you forget any of these things at home, don't worry, the Blue Lagoon will rent them to you. And if you wear a burkini, they are of course allowed to wear also at the Blue Lagoon.

6. Can we take pictures & videos at the Blue Lagoon?

Yes, the phones or other devices are not prohibited at Blue Lagoon. Just don't forget that you will be moving in the area, and it is smart to put your phone device into a waterproof case or bag.

7. Do you have anything more to add before we go for the Blue Lagoon Private Tour?

Don't forget that the water at Blue Lagoon is not clear and it's warm. That's why swimming is not only prohibited but also not possible. Definitely put down all your jewelry before entering the waters, they might be destroyed since water contains many minerals.

We would definitely recommend this excursion. Blue Lagoon is “other worldly” and getting there was very easy with Gray Line. Our bus was prompt.
