This tour was very good. We had a lot of time to adventure around between different stops. Our driver and colleague were very informative about Iceland and the excusions which is a part I really ejoyed.. Learning about it all. It made the coach ride faster and it was fun to be apart of.

We went on the Golden Circle Express tour with Darren as our tour guide and Oli our driver. It was really enjoyable and Darren kept it entertaining and interesting throughout the whole day. The sights were beautiful, we had a really good day. Will definitely be booking with Gray line again on our next visit to Iceland!

Could not ask for a better knowledgeable, funny guide called Daz and great friendly safe driver Sal. They made this experience fun and interesting. Really enjoyed it but during winter it would be a better idea to bring the tour forward maybe an hour as we were rushing due to fading daylight .
Itinerary

Tour Itinerary

First on the list is Þingvellir National Park where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established in the year 930 AD. Known as the ‘Assembly Fields’ or ‘Parliament Plains’, situated around 45 km east of the capital, they were the first home of what has become one of the oldest parliamentary institutions in the world.

In 2004 Þingvellir National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List and is now one of eight hundred places in the world that have been honoured by UNESCO. It is a site of historical, cultural and geological importance.

From there we continue to Gullfoss waterfall where glacial melt water cascades down into the deep and narrow Hvítárgljúfur canyon.

Returning from Gullfoss, next stop is the Geysir hot spring area where you'll get to walk amidst hissing steam vents, sulfurous mud pots and get up close to an erupting geyser.
