Gray Line Iceland actions to
reduce the risk of infections

We at Gray Line Iceland take the current situation responsibly and we are doing everything in our power to protect our employees, customers and our workplace.

For more information about COVID-19 in Iceland and the governments actions please visit:

What do we do:

All frontline employees follow guidelines from the Icelandic Directorate of Health on how to protect themselves and others from infections and our sales office downtown has been closed for the time beeing.

A video with messages from the World Health Organization concerning precautions and how to reduce the risk of infection is being played at the beginning of each tour.

Seat arms and seat backs are wiped off with sanitizers at the end of each tour and all brochures have been removed from vehicles.

A hand sanitizer kit is available for all vehicles and pocket size hand sanitizer for staff working outside the office as well as disposable gloves. We have placed hand sanitizer at bathrooms and common rooms at the head office and no shared food is served at the cafeteria anymore.

Washing hands thoroughly with soap is the most important defense against the virus.

What if you can’t travel to Iceland:

We have always been flexible when cancellations of tours are necessary and our refund policy is
24+ hour notice in order to get a full refund for day tours. Please contact us at if you have any questions.

We will be adjusting our tour availability for the next few weeks due to travel restrictions, our website and reservation system will always show an updated tour schedule. We will contact any passengers this will have an effect on and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience. Hopefully this situation will resolve soon, and we hope that everyone stays safe in the meantime.
