We’ll find the best vantage point to see an eye-popping fireworks display put on by the people of Reykjavik. You will be amazed by the citywide celebration
Home to one of the largest New Year’s Eve people-powered fireworks shows, Reykjavik is a great place to be on New Year’s Eve. Fireworks on New Year’s Eve are a tradition around the world and the same is true for Iceland but on a different scale than you may be used to. In Iceland, it’s the people that run the fireworks show not the city or town governments or major department stores.
Just about every single individual in Iceland sets off fireworks on New Year’s Eve setting the sky alight in vibrant, exploding rainbows. As the horizon fills from end to end with the dazzling display you can’t help but get into the festive spirit of the night.
This is one of our favorite nights to show off our capital city. We’ll find the best viewing location to watch the show where we’ll all ring in the New Year with a glass of bubbly in hand. Come celebrate with us!
