What should I do once my flight has landed?

How will I find the bus to Reykjavik?

Buses carrying the Gray Line logo are waiting right in front of the arrival building. If for any reason you have trouble locating the bus, just ask the nearest KEF airport staff member for directions.

 

What are the departure times from KEF airport to Reykjavik?

Departure time from KEF airport to Reykjavik is flexible and is bound to every flight’s arrival time. On average, Gray Line airport bus departs every 30 to 49 minutes from KEF airport to Reykjavik.

 

What if my incoming flight is late?

We track scheduled arrival times of all inbound flights and update status in real time accoding to confirmed arrival times. Whether your plane is on-time, early or late, we are aware of it's status and take into account the average time it takes to exit the aircraft, collect your luggage and go through customs.

 

How long does it take to get to Reykjavik?

If you arrive on a later flight, just inform us either before you arrive or failing that, once you arrive, and we will arrange another Shuttle-bus to pick you up at the airport at a later time, a maximum of 30 minutes from the time you call us.

How will I find the bus to Reykjavík?
Our buses are are marked Gray Line Iceland and are parked right outside the arrival building. If ever in doubt please ask for direction at our service desk in the arrival hall.
 
Where is the Airport Express service desk located?
Our service desk is located in the arrival hall on the right next to the convenience store.

What if I cannot find your service desk or drivers?
Our service desk is marked with our company name, Gray Line Iceland, and is visible from the arrival hall entrance next to the convenience store.

What if my flight is late?
We co-ordinate bus departures accordingly to flight schedule and depart 30-40 minutes after each flight arrival.

Can I go straight out to the bus if I have booked the transfer online?
If you have booked and paid for your transfer you can go straight out to the bus. You will have to show the bus driver your voucher.

How long do I have to wait at the airport before the bus departs?
Our buses are due to depart 30-40 minutes after each flight arrival.

How long does it take to get to Reykjavik?
The coach ride from the Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík City is estimated to take around 45 minutes.

Will the bus take me directly to my hotel?
This depends on the type of ticket you have; If you have purchased a Door to Door ticket, the larger buses will take you to our main depot where you transfer to smaller buses which will then take passangers to their respective hotels and guesthouses. If you have purchased a Terminal to Terminal ticket you will be transported to our City terminal located in the city center.


Leaving from Iceland

Can I book a one-way transfer to the airport?
Yes, you can book a one-way transfer to Keflavik Airport. You can book your ticket online, via email; iceland@grayline.is or via telaphone: +354 540 1313.

Where will I be collected from?
If you have purchased a Door to Door ticket our shuttles will pick you up from your hotel 30 minutes before the scheduled departure from Reykjavík. If you purchased a Terminal to Terminal ticket you will be picked up from our City terminal located in the city center, where you need to check in at least 30 minutes before the sceduled departure.

Where can you collect people from?
If you have purchased a Door to Door ticket we collect passengers from all major hotels and guesthouses in the greater Reykjavík area. If you have purchased a Terminal to Terminal ticket you will be collected at our City Terminal loacted in the city center.
 
How will I know at what time I‘ll be collected?
The pick-up begins 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time from Reykjavik. Make sure to be at your pick-up location and ready to go at least 30 minutes beforehand.

Where should I wait for my transfer?
Please be be in front of the pick-up place and visible from the street. We do realize that weather conditions tend to behave accordingly, so waiting near the exit in the lobby of your hotel, is perfectly acceptable and often the more viable option.

What do I do if my transfer hasn't arrived on time?
The time allocated for hotel pick-up starts 30 minutes before scheduled departure from Reykjavík. If in doubt though, please don‘t hesitate to call us at +354 540 1313.

How long will the transfer to Keflavík Airport take?
The transfer from Reykjavík City to Keflavík Airport is estimated to take around 45 minutes.  

Where will I be dropped off at Keflavík Airport?
Once the coach arrives in Keflavík Airport the passangers will be dropped off right in front of the departure terminal.
